Pilates Reformer Mat Compatibility Guide

Pilates reformers vary in carriage size, headrest shape, shoulder-rest spacing, and overall construction. For the best fit, we recommend comparing your reformer measurements with the dimensions of your Grip Mat Studio mat before ordering.

Our reformer mats are designed to work with many popular home and commercial Pilates reformers, but they are not a universal one-size-fits-all product.

Standard Reformer Mat Size

Many Grip Mat Studio designs use our standard reformer-mat dimensions:

Overall:
54.5 cm W × 94 cm L
21.46 in W × 37.01 in L

Main carriage section:
54.5 cm W × 66 cm L

Headrest section:
16.5 cm W × 28 cm L
6.5 in W × 11.02 in L

Shoulder extensions:
Approximately 19 cm / 7.48 in on each side

This size is used for many of our designs, including styles such as Amalfi, Love Flow, Matcha, Soft Girl Sculpt, Pilates & Prosecco, Cobalt, Burnt Orange, and other selected collections.

Studio Reformer Mat Size

Selected designs including After Hours Black and Sunlit Waters use a slightly larger format:

Overall:
56 cm W × 96 cm L
22 in W × 37.8 in L

Contoured upper section:
Approximately 19 cm / 7.5 in

These mats are designed with many commercial studio reformers in mind.

Reformer Compatibility

Depending on the mat style and measurements, Grip Mat Studio reformer mats may work with selected models from:

Before You Order

We recommend checking three measurements on your reformer:

1. Carriage width
Compare the usable width of your reformer carriage with the mat width.

2. Carriage length
Confirm that the mat length provides the coverage you prefer.

3. Shoulder-rest and headrest area
Pay particular attention to the space between the shoulder rests and the dimensions of the headrest section.

Even reformers from the same manufacturer can have different dimensions depending on the model and year.
